ANY LOVES ART

Paris-based Australian artist Mel O’Callaghan is doubly topical at the moment. At the Palais de Tokyo she is exhibiting Dangerous On-the-Way, a majestic installation and video projection on the dangerous activity of harvesting bird’s nests in Borneo. A second exhibition of her work is being held at the Allen gallery, where she has hung a new series of paintings entitled En Masse. Both are opportunities to discover her work, which touches on the notions of ritual, transcendence and danger.
